The latest Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE is packed with amazing specs that mark it as a truly high-end gaming laptop. It boasts the latest and greatest AMD processor and NVIDIA graphics and sports a 15.6 inch, 120 Hz 4K display or a 300 Hz full HD display.
Standout Feature
Those specs are pretty impressive and distinctive on their own but the feature that most immediately grabs the attention is a second screen positioned right above the keyboard.
It’s not an entirely novel design; the company has developed a previous model for this particular style, but it’s still quite eye-catching. Asus calls this second screen ScreenPad Plus and says it provides gamers with an option for instant messaging, controlling game streaming, recording software and web browsing as they play.
The laptop also has a backlit keyboard with per-key RGB lighting. It sports a number pad on the right while the ScreenPad Plus serves as a substitute for a touchpad.
Dimensions
The ScreenPad Plus is a 14.1 inch IPS LCD touchscreen display that’s available in 3840 x 1100 or 1920 x 550 pixel resolutions, depending on the laptop configuration. The back of the ScreenPad Plus rises and gives the screen a sleight angle when the laptop is fully open. This is calculated to make the secondary screen easier to view and interact with.
Asus’ previous dual-screen model, the Zephyrus Duo, was powered by an Intel Comet Lake-H processor and NVIDIA RTX 2000 series graphics but this latest issue will feature AMD graphics with up to a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and up to NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics.
It will also boast other features like up to 32 GB of DDR-3200 onboard memory, two M.2 slots for up to 2 TB of PCIe NVMe solid state storage, a 90 Wh battery, and up to 6 ports.
